“Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.” — Psalm 100:1
For over 30 years, one slogan has said it all: Absolutely the Loudest, Most Durable Poppin' Cork Available. The Speck-A-Nater™ Poppin' Cork has earned that reputation one fish at a time, and it's why this cork has been copied again and again. There's only one original, and now it carries a name and logo all its own.
Built From Frustration, Blessed With Results
The Speck-A-Nater was born out of years spent fighting flimsy corks that bent, broke, and fell apart right when the fish turned on. Through a lot of trial, error, and patience, Red Alert Lures built something better: a cork tough enough for the hardest strikes and loud enough to call fish from across the flat.

250 lb specially coated stainless steel cable that bends when it needs to but never kinks
- Every bead, weight, and component chosen for strength, long life, and sound
Two Sounds No Other Cork Gets Right
Years of experimenting found the exact combination of beads and weights that matches the two sounds a shrimp makes while running for its life:
- The sharp, high-pitched snap of the tail slap
- The deep, dull thud when a predator crushes it
That one-two signature is why anglers from Texas to Maine keep reaching for the Speck-A-Nater. It rings the dinner bell, fires fish up, and puts more fish in the boat: speckled trout, redfish, flounder, snook, stripers, and more.
Why the Fish on the Logo?
Look close and you'll see the new Speck-A-Nater logo is shaped like the ancient Christian fish, with a cross at its head. That's on purpose. When Jesus called His first disciples, they were fishermen working their nets, and He told them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19). Every Speck-A-Nater is made by a fisherman who believes that, and who's thankful for every sunrise on the water.
The Speck-A-Nater™ name and logo are trademarks of Red Alert Lures. If it doesn't carry the fish and the cross, it isn't the original.
